Meet Karen

“I love the thrill of preserving cherished moments in such an elegant format. It’s the greatest legacy an artist can hope to leave in the world, and it continues to be my greatest honor.”

Karen is a self-proclaimed true romantic, and it glows in her creations’ warmth and often vibrant tones. She is known best for her custom works and live painting. She states, “My focus lies in capturing the spirit of the subject and breathing life into memory so it can be felt and cherished through time.”

Those who work with Karen are most impressed by her attention to detail. Swiss former gallery owner and repeat client Peter Imhof states, “Karen’s eagerness to understand my vision early on in the preliminary process excited me most. I knew, even before she worked her magic that I was in good hands.” Karen stresses the importance of taking the time to communicate with clients at a level that emphasizes their desired results. Her passion to that end can be seen adorning walls around the world.

Romantic artist, meticulous creator.

Karen’s focus on fine art in college impressed a classical understanding of her craft. She went on to open a successful store in Miami, selling her works. Which was lauded in blogs such as Thrillist, Daily Candy, Miami Lux, The Feast, and Refinery29, and publications from Italian Vogue to Miami’s own Ocean Drive Magazine. Most recently, an impressive 74 works have been published in New York Times best-selling author, Elizabeth TenHoutens book; The Stars Fell Into the Ocean. The substantial mixed media collection visually translates the poetry, making for a fresh and exciting collaboration.

Karen has worked with and trained under several prolific artists over the years. One, in particular that has truly impacted her view on art and painting is Stan Miller. Stan is a world-renowned watercolorist, and Karen continues her tutelage under him today.

Karen’s favorite subject matter is portraits and not just of the human persuasion! She’s painted countless fur babies! But for Karen, this passion comes second only to wedding portraits. She states, “I love the thrill of preserving cherished moments in such an elegant format. It’s the greatest legacy an artist can hope to leave in the world, and it continues to be my greatest honor.”
